Nicole is an exceptional General Practitioner with special interest in women’s health menopause and mental heath .

It’s a privilege to welcome Dr Irosh Fernando Consultant Psychiatrist to Family Circle Medical Practice.
Dr Fernando has contributed significantly to the Newcastle community mental health services. He has worked tirelessly in Hunter New England Area Health and James Fletcher Hospital, Newcastle.
He is also a Conjoint Senior Lecturer at the University of Newcastle. Dr Irosh Fernando is actively involved in research and affiliated with Hunter Medical Research Institute. He also holds a PhD from the University of Newcastle and Master of Biostatistics from the University of Sydney.
Mental illness plagues us all at some stage of our lives. His empathetic approach augmented with the years of experience in helping individuals at their darkest moments regain control of their lives will be an asset to our patients. Dr Fernando accepts patients from the age of 12 years with a referral from your respective GP.

Nick Miller

Nick an experienced podiatrist successfully completed the Bachelor of Health Sciences and Masters of Podiatric Practice from La Trobe University, Victoria in 2016. Since then Nick has gained significant experience while working at the High Risk Foot Clinic at John Hunter Hospital and Wollongong Hospital dealing with patients with diabetes and peripheral vascular disease.
We believe mobility is one of the cornerstones of independence. Nick takes pride in attending to all foot and ankle dysfunction. Nick is accustomed to providing a comprehensive state of the art service and providing a detailed report back to the GP.
Nick accepts Enhanced Primary Care Plan (EPC) referrals under a GP Management Plan (GPMP) arranged by your respective GP. This allows you to visit the podiatrist upto 5 times a calendar year with no out of pocket costs.
Simeon Evans
Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

It is a pleasure to welcome Simeon Evans an exceptional mental health nurse practitioner with over 20 years of experience to our family.
Simeon is currently working at the Calvery Matar Hospital as an Emergency Mental Health Nurse Practitioner since 2017 assisting our community in their darkest moments. Simeon deals with patient aged 13 years and older struggling with mental health.
Simeon is well versed in dealing with Anxiety disorders, depression, bipolar disorder, compulsive disorders, adjustment disorders, alcohol & drug dependence, substance abuse, grief, PTSD, eating disorders and personality disorders. He will provide insight and counselling coupled with initiating appropriate medication when indicated. He also conducts detailed assessment for ADHD in adolescents and adults to provide clarity in diagnosis and management.
You are able to seek treatment from Simeon directly without a referral. He also accepts Enhanced Primary Care Plan (EPC) referrals under a GP Management Plan (GPMP) arranged by your respective GP. This allows you to visit the Simeon upto 5 times a calendar year.
