Dr Patricia Caruana – Neurologist

We are pleased to announce that Dr. Patricia Caruana has joined the team at Family Circle Medical Practice.

Dr Caruana is a well-known Neurologist in the region and is able to provide comprehensive care for a wide range of neurological conditions. Dr Caruana has a large headache clinic and works in conjunction with Sydney for advanced cases.

Dr Caruana is able to provide BOTOX treatment for chronic daily migraine, blepharospasm, hyperhidrosis (extensive sweating), and some other conditions. She also offers a complimentary CBD clinic for headaches and other conditions such as muscle spasm. She has longstanding experience in managing neurological illness in the setting of psychiatric co-morbidities. Dr Caruana has a neuropathy clinic that includes demyelinating neuropathies as well as toxic-metabolic neuropathies. She has extensive experience in neuroimmunology, offering immunotherapy at the Gateshead infusion lounge. Dr Caruana is happy to see muscle disorders and looks after a large Parkinson’s population (movement disorder). Apart from that, Dr Caruana has a special interest in treatment resistant epilepsy and epilepsy in general.
